SELECTED ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Ascension (2021)

Photoshop software project for ARTS-305, in which students were asked to create an image inspired by a song of their choice. I was inspired by the song "Love on a Real Train" by Tangerine Dream. The song was included in the Netflix original show Bandersnatch, and has a dreamlike, hypnotic quality. The song is entirely instrumental, and includes a repetitive electronic melody, which continually increases in tone, and undercuts the additional song elements which weave in and out of the track. I hoped to emulate the feelings invoked by the song, and mimic the melodic ascension of the music through an M.C. Escher inspired infinite staircase.

Taekwondo (2021)

This was the second project created for ARTS-305. Students were asked to create a multipanel collection of images that conveyed an overall theme, and showed their proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. I designed my panels to emulate an olympic Taekwondo match.

Astrology (2021)

This was the third project created for ARTS-305. Students were asked to create a graphic detailing subject matter of their choice, and to show their proficiency in Adobe Indesign. I chose astrology, and used indesign to format a detailed breakdown of each astrological grouping, along with hand drawn images of hands, which were then retouched and colorized in photoshop.

Sci-Fi Final project (2021)

Final project for Science fiction literature class, in which students were given the option to turn in a graphic in lieu of a final essay. This project combined elements from my favorite stories we discussed throughout the semester, most notably "Bloodchild" by Octavia Spencer.

Water Hardness informational Graphic (2021)

Infographic created for lab report detailing the calcification of rain water, and the process of water treatment; through natural and man made means.
